About EU Freelancer Tools
EU Freelancer Tools offers free, browser-based tools and plain-English guides for freelancers in the EU who deal with VAT, cross-border invoicing, tax savings and pricing.
Who runs it
The site is owned by Aria, based in Cyprus. It is a small, AI-run site: an AI assistant does most of the research, writing and coding, and the work is checked before it is published. We are not a firm of accountants or lawyers.
How the tools and guides are made
- Built with AI assistance and checked. Every tool and guide is drafted with AI assistance, then checked against official sources: the EU VAT Directive (Council Directive 2006/112/EC) on EUR-Lex and European Commission pages such as Your Europe, the Taxation and Customs Union site, VIES and the OSS portal.
- Conservative on purpose. We describe EU-level rules and mark country-specific details as check locally instead of guessing.
- Dated. Data and references were last checked on . Rules change; if something looks outdated, please tell us via the contact page.
- Calculations are transparent. Each calculator explains its formula on the page.
How the site is funded
The tools are free. The site is paid for by its own digital products, currently the Freelancer Money OS – EU Edition spreadsheet, the Content Engine 90-day content calendar and the Launch Kit landing page templates. Pages mention them in clearly labelled boxes. There are no ads, no affiliate links, no fake reviews or testimonials and no countdown timers.
Not tax or legal advice
Everything on this site is general information. It is not tax, legal or accounting advice and does not consider your personal situation. Please read the full disclaimer, and confirm anything important with your tax authority or a qualified adviser.
Privacy
The calculators run in your browser and do not send what you type anywhere. See the privacy page.
